November 24, 2011 Mojo216 Sketch Challenge
Today was a GREAT day. It is my 17th wedding anniversary and it's Thanksgiving, too. When hubby and I got married, we got married on Thanksgiving Day. What a great guy and how perfect to be married on the day that says "I'm thankful for you."
After lots of Thanksgiving cooking and baking (and dishes, of course), I scurried to my stampin' corner and made this card.
Card is Basic Black, Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla, and Crumb Cake. I also used 3 different embossing folders, the heart trio punch, big heart punch, variety of circle punches, heart border punch, tiny tag punch, teeny tiny wishes, tiny tags, jumbo eyelet, jute, rhinestones, cropodile. I made this in the large size 5 1/2 x 8 1/2.
Hubby loved it. I hope you enjoy it, too. Happy Thanksgiving!

SQSC13 and Inkspirations Color Challenge 96
This card is for Stampin Queen's Sketch Challenge #13 and Inkspirations Color Challenge 96. Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Bashful Blue, and Real Red. Season of Friendship is the stamp set. The nest is made out of the brown paper SU uses in our shipments. I've made 3 cards today and posted to 5 challenges. What a great day! Tomorrow, it's back to the real job ... sigh...
Players 73 and MOJO215
I'm still new to blogging and challenges, but I like it. This card works for two challenges, the layout is for Mojo Monday 215 and the color combination is for The Paper Players Challenge 73. Night of Navy, Whisper White, Brushed Silver (star punch), Silver EP, Night of Navy DSP, and Rhinestones. Of course, The Sounding Joy stamp set.

I think my medallion is too large--it covers up most of the vertical rectangle which I made using Pretty in Pink. Other colors are Wild Wasabi, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, and Letters to Santa DSP. The roof and other snowy areas are covered in Dazzling Details, but that is hard to photograph. Pink, Green, and Glitter is one of my favorite combinations.

Though I'm not highly tech-y, I've decided to attempt a blog. I think it will be a fun way to post some of the cards and scrapbook pages that I just love to make.
