When I saw the sketch on Mojo Monday MOJO377, I instantly thought of the Blue Ribbon set.  I have a high school senior who will be graduating in May so I used Crushed Curry and Black to mimic the school colors (More Mustard was better, but Crushed Curry will do the trick).  I used the stars EF and added a couple of gold foil stars.

This is one of those cards that turned out totally different than my original plan.  You ever have that happen?  I had cut the black/white pieces from my new Stacked With Love designer series stack to follow the sketch challenge at Create With Connie and Mary (CCMC#335).  I used the Circles Framelits to cut my center for my new Valentine design, the little pirate from "Hey, Valentine", and the gold foil underneath layer.  I had just started to color in my design using the Gold Stampin' Dazzle Marker and black for the eye patch.  About that time, my husband wanted to drop off a vehicle at the mechanic and needed me to pick him up.  So, I left my things laying and away I went, came home fixed supper, and a few other chores.  A few hours later, I returned to my Stampin' Corner and decided, I was NOT going to color it in afterall.  I liked the black and white look with the touch of gold.  I added rhinestones to the treasure chest and the extra little "I Love You" message with a red heart popped up.  The upper right hand corner was begging for something, so I punched out three tiny gold foil hearts.  I decided to go with the "less is more" theory.

It's a gray, rainy day today.... a perfect time to go to my Stampin' Corner to make a card or two.  My best friend has a birthday in about 3 days, so I made this for her.  I combined the color challenge at Colour Q with the sketch challenge at Retrosketches.  CQC#273 and RS#146.  I paper pieced the jacket, skirt, and umbrella using a scrap of Poppy Parade dsp.  The colors for the challenge are Poppy Parade, Calypso Coral, Old Olive, Hello Honey, and Whisper White.

PCCCS123 and SUO Challenge #112 Merry

I'm on vacation this week and spending extra time in my little Stampin' corner.  This is the greatest way to unwind from all of the holiday hustle and bustle.  This card is for a couple of challenges:  Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch #123 (I wanted to use the little snowflakes so they had to go out in the open sky rather than under the banner.) and SUO Stampin' Up Only Challenge  #112 (Why would I ever want to use anything except SU products? ... I'm about to celebrate my 10 year anniversary of being a SU demonstrator).  Products used are Soft Sky, Basic Gray, Whisper White, and DSP.  Also, snowflake and silver sequins, Dazzling Diamonds, Soft Sky Button, Silver Ribbon.

This card is embossed with gold embossing powder, then using blender pens I colored in the design using Cherry Cobbler, Rose Red, Perfect Plum, Island Indigo, and Bermuda Bay to try the color challenge at "Just us Girls" JUGS#272.  I used a wee bit of Crumb Cake and Hello Honey, too.

Valentine Card PPA232 and CCMC334

Once again, I've waited so long between posts, that I have to go at snail speed to figure out how to post my card's picture to fulfill a couple of challenges.  Pals Paper Arts has the sketch and Create with Connie and Mary has the color challenge.  For those of you who know me, don't faint ... I have a Valentine card done before Christmas.  I've shocked myself, too.
